Usage:
By moving your nail perpendicular to the lines, select the two standards that are closest to the roughness of your piece, one, just higher roughness, the other, just lower roughness. The standard corresponding to the higher roughness should be taken as the roughness value of your part. For very soft or very rough surfaces, visual comparisons can be more convenient than tactile comparisons with the nail.
